English language teaching programmes in the Faculty of Management Studies include intensive English Programme for the new intakes of students during the period of orientation and ongoing compulsory General English, Business English and Business Communication Courses.
The General English course is a compulsory, non-credit course conducted during the two semesters of the first year which aims at enhancing the four language skills of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing with a review of language structure.
During the second academic year, the faculty DELT center conducts Business English and Business Communication Courses for the students in the four degree programmes, namely B.Sc. (Accountancy & Finance), B.Sc. (Business Management), B.Sc. Business Information Technology) and B.Sc. (Tourism & Hospitality Management) which are credited courses where the students are assessed continuously and summatively through a written test, a Listening test and a Speaking test.
