The Grand Finale of the InterFaculty English Speech Competition 2016 organized by the English Language Teaching Unit was held on the 11th January 2017 in the main Auditorium of the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka.
The Chief Guest of the event was Dr.CR Withanachchi, Dean, Faculty of Social sciences and Humanities of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka.
Five finalists from the faculties of Social Sciences and Humanities, Applied Sciences and Medical and Allied Sciences contested. All the contestants were awarded with certificates and the winners were awarded with certificate and cash prizes.

1st place - Ms. SAMSA Suriyahetti ( Faculty of Medicine & Allied Science)
2nd place - Mr.AWT Delshan (Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanities)
3rd place - Miss.HPM Hewapaththuwa (Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanities)
