The Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka proudly invites you to the 2nd National Research Symposium on Social Sciences and Humanities (NRSSSH 2023)
NRSSSH will be held on the 31st (Tuesday) of October 2023 as an Hybrid mode (online and Physical) under ‘Promoting multidisciplinary research for national development.’ The inauguration ceremony will take place at the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, while the speeches and presentations will take place on a hybrid mode. NRSSSH 2023 will be a golden opportunity for researchers to share their knowledge, experiences, and outcomes of research and contribute to the dissemination of valuable, innovative findings to a well-read audience.

Abstract Template and Guidelines
Authors are required to submit an abstract prepared according to the guidelines given in the following.
The abstract must report original research and be limited to approximately 250-300 words, and should exactly convey the content of the study. It should specifically contain the background, importance of the study, objectives, methodology used, key findings, and major conclusions. Authors should include five keywords after the abstract. All submissions should be typed on A4 size pages with 1-inch margins on all sides and line space 1.15. The draft can be submitted only in English. We encourage all of you to use the template provided below.

Publication
All accepted abstracts will be published in the symposium proceedings. In addition to that, the Authors will also be invited to contribute to a special volume of peer-reviewed faculty journal “Samodhana,” Samodhana Volume 13- issue I, published by the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka.

Guidelines for Oral Presentations
All the authors should present their research using PowerPoint (MS Office) format 97-2003. Details of the presentations are as follows:
- Duration of the presentation: 10 minutes (8 minutes for presentation and 2 minutes for question)
- Mode: Hybrid
- Language: Sinhala or English
Registration
- 2000 LKR for Early Bird Registration (before 20th September 2023 )
