Mr. H.G.C.Sampath



Biography

Mr. H.G.C.Sampath (Sampath Gamage) joined the Education unit of the department of Humanities of the faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities in 2021 as a permanent lecturer (Prob). Before joining the department he saved as a Lecturer of Ruwanpura National College of Education in Rathnapura. He earned his Bachelor of Education Degree in Education with First Class. He did his postgraduate studies at the University of Colombo. His research interest includes in the field of Educational Psychology, Comparative and International Education and Educational Guidance and Counselling. He has published more than five research papers in local journals and published three books also. Currently, he is saving as a lecturer of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka.

  • Master of Education in Educational and Development Psychology (M.Ed) – University of Colombo (2013)

            Dissertation on:

                         “The Similarities of the Buddhist and Modern Psychological                             Theories on Child Development”

  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) With a first-class honor – University of Colombo (2004)
  • Successfully completed the Diploma in Computer Application Course with “A” level and a browns medal conducted by Fusion Education with ICTA(2011)
  • Successfully completed the Computer Application Office Assistant Course conducted by e-Sri Lanka with ICTA(2011)
  • Successfully completed the Diploma in Computer Application Course conducted by Nenasala.
  • Successfully completed Certificate of Proficiency in English Course from University of Colombo.
  • Successfully completed the Diploma in English Course conducted by Southern Community Collective in Matara
