Biography

Dr. DMSLB Dissanayake is a senior lecturer in the Department of Environmental Management, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, Mihintale, Sri Lanka since 2008. His research interesting and academic disciplines are extended to GIS & spatial analysis, remote sensing, urban development, and agricultural research. He has a lot of experience in conference presentations with a track of record peer-reviewed publications. He has been working as a reviewer in many international journls

Educational qualifications

  1. Successfully completed Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Geo-Environmental Sciences, Division of Spatial Information Sciences (SIS), Graduate School of Life and Environmental Sciences, University of Tsukuba, Japan in 2020.
  2. Successfully completed Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in Geography at the Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Sri Jayawardenepura in 2014.
  3. Successfully completed Master of Science (M.Sc) in Geo-Informatics at the Postgraduate Institute of Agriculture (PGIA), University of Peradeniya in 2013.
  4. Successfully completed B.A (Special) in Environmental Management at the Faculty of Social Science and Humanities, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka in 2008.

Awards and Fellowships

  • Best research excellency award for studies, through both superior evaluation and research presented by the Dean of the Graduate School of Life and Environmental Sciences, University of Tsukuba.
  • NRC Merit award for scientific research as evaluated by peers and published in the year 2018 presented by the National Research Council of Sri Lanka.
  • RUSL research excellency award 2021 for the researcher having the highest H-index 7th place presented by the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka in the ceremony of “Apprising the outstanding performance of RUSL researchers ”.
