The Department of Archaeology and Heritage Management was invited by the Department of Archaeology of Sri Lanka to conduct a research excavation in the Kurundi Viharaya of Mulathivu. The Somavathi monastery has requested the Department of Archaeology and Heritage Management to survey the Somavathiya National Park. Both projects are currently in progress and will be operationalized from 2021.
